Greeting from the Principal
Hello everyone
I am Kyoko Saita, the principal of AITAS Japanese Language School. I have been teaching Japanese at elementary schools, junior high schools, and language institutions for adults since 1994 in Japan, Australia and England. I also visited companies and taught Japanese to business people. Based on my experiences I wanted to start a Japanese language school where students can enjoy learning and actually improve their skills. It has to be cheerful and beneficial for students.
Putting these thoughts together I opened AITAS in autumn 2003. Since then, we have been developing our original educational system, curriculums and AITAS Immersion Teaching Method. We care about students’improvement and the quality of lessons. It is not too much to say that I have more passion about running an ideal Japanese educational institution than anybody else in Toronto.
AITAS completed its eighth year in September 2011. I started this school from scratch and have been supported by many wonderful students. More than 800 students have studied with us so far. The average number of students studying at school is around 80. People who found AITAS helpful and beneficial or heard about us from our current students or graduates constantly come to the school. Some graduates visit us just to say hello. Those wonderful people keep me motivated and teach me many valuable things.
I hope many people find that learning Japanese is fun and realize their dreams. I have devoted my whole life to Japanese language education and I believe this is my calling. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Principal, Kyoko Saita
